Are you an experienced and self-motivated IT technician with a passion for providing exceptional support? Look no further! We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Kalmar IM Operations and Business Support team as a Country IT Coordinator. Kalmar is expanding its internal competencies and we are seeking a talented individual like you to be a key contributor to our success.
In this role, you will have the chance to work in an international environment, surrounded by a team of dedicated professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide onsite end user IT support and oversee the local IT infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation.
Based at our state-of-the-art Innovation Centre in Ljungby, Sweden, you will not only support this location but also provide remote and on-site support to other Kalmar locations in Sweden and Norway as required. This will give you the opportunity to broaden your horizons, work with diverse teams, and face exciting challenges across multiple geographical locations.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Your key responsibilities involve delivering exceptional end-user support, swiftly resolving technical issues to ensure uninterrupted operations and maximize user productivity. Your role extends beyond support, encompassing the management and optimization of servers, storage infrastructure, and local ICT systems. With your technical prowess, you will execute seamless migrations, upgrades, and replacements, creating a high-performing IT environment.
Ensuring the security of critical information is paramount, and you will meticulously execute data backup processes and implement robust disaster recovery measures. Additionally, you will support telephony systems and mobile devices, keeping pace with evolving technologies to enable seamless communication for our workforce. By maintaining up-to-date documentation and an organized knowledge management system, you will contribute to streamlined operations.
Collaboration is key to success, and you will work closely with internal teams and outsourcing partners to drive process improvements and raise the bar for service delivery excellence. Upholding global policies and procedures, you will contribute to maintaining a standardized IT environment aligned with industry standards.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical IT support roles and preferably have experience working in a global organization. You should possess strong knowledge in Network, Workstations, Server, Virtualization, Mobile phones, and VoIP. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to empathise with end-users and effectively communicate with different stakeholders. Fluency in both English and Swedish, both written and verbal, is required.
Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide end-users with exceptional support, build connections with key stakeholders, and contribute to a stable local IT infrastructure environment. You should have a deep understanding of users' needs and be willing to adapt to changes. Collaboration with business stakeholders, the IM organization, and service providers is crucial, showcasing your ability to be a team player.
Experience working in following platforms meritorious:
Vmware, Active directory, Windows server, Linux cent os,Cisco,Basic understanding in scripting languages,Google Workspace,Intune, Azure AD,AWS Cloud services,GCP Cloud services.
