Are you ready to lead the charge in Kalmar Counterbalanced Division's sourcing evolution? Join us as a Sourcing Project Manager and the journey begins with you at the helm of innovation and collaboration!
In this role you will lead the sourcing project team in the Division to manage sourcing related projects or coordinate sourcing activities, which includes but not limited to NPD, NPI, PLC, cost reductions, supplier workshops. You will also collaborate with the global sourcing organization to optimize the related process.
The location of this position is Ljungby, Sweden and you will report to the Head of Sourcing.


Main tasks and responsibilities
Participate in division sourcing management discussions and take lead of strategic improvement activities
Set vision and target for sourcing project team
Planning resources in the Sourcing Project team to support the cross functional collaboration in the division
Lead and coach the Sourcing Project Team to meet the goals set by the Division and global sourcing
Accountable for the Division Sourcing Projects including not limited to NPD, NPI, PLC, cost reductions, supplier workshops
Contribute to Division product roadmap development
Lead strategic strategy planning for NPD in cooperation with category sourcing teams or direct sourcing, to meet the NPD sourcing target
Acting as or back up sourcing project leaders when needed
Own sourcing process for NPD.


What you’ll need to succeed
Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or similar interest and experience
8 -10 years or above of experience in project management, product management or sourcing in a manufacturing environment
3- 5 years of leadership experience in managing a team.

On top of that, you are a proven leader, skilled in influencing cross-functional collaboration, driven, and results-oriented. Your individual strengths lie in possessing robust analytical skills and demonstrating excellent communication proficiency, both verbally and in written English and Swedish.

The Sourcing Project Leader is responsible for securing cost-efficient products and solutions within their designated area of responsibility. This involves leading sourcing activities for new product development (NPD) and technology projects, as well as managing and controlling product costs through the Bill of Materials (BOM) for both new and existing configurations. The role requires close coordination and collaboration with other sourcing teams across Kalmar to support counterbalanced equipment sourcing efforts. Additionally, the Sourcing Project Leader contributes valuable input on sourcing strategies and cost calculations to aid in the development of the division's strategic roadmap.

What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
Master or Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Science/Financial or similar interest and experience.


Experience:
Sourcing, project or product management in manufacturing environment
Engineering experience is beneficial, but not mandatory.

Purpose of the position
