Are you ready to take the lead in driving Systems Engineering excellence? Elevate Kalmar Counter Balanced (CB) division by introducing and implementing Systems Engineering principles. With your support the organisation will improve the ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions and integrate the engineering disciplines with Integrated Product Development (such as hydraulics, electronics, power electrics, software, mechanics etc.).


The location of this position is Ljungby, Sweden and you will report to the Head of System and Architecture CB System & Architecture

Main tasks and responsibilities
In this key role, you'll be the architect of a strategy that incorporates Systems Engineering principles into Kalmar's Counter Balanced division. You'll own and govern a range of processes, from requirements engineering to lifecycle management, ensuring our practices are second to none. You'll also standardize Systems Engineering frameworks and templates and initiate improvements if needed.


You'll also be the driving force behind the tool chain that supports our Systems Engineering efforts, enhancing operational efficiency. Your expertise will be shared organization-wide as you develop and deliver targeted Systems Engineering training programs.


Acting as both guide and mentor, you'll provide ongoing support to project teams, ensuring the principles of Systems Engineering are effectively implemented. Plus, you'll stay current on industry advancements to keep us at the cutting edge.


What you’ll need to succeed
Education: To thrive in this role, a technical university degree aligned with your area of responsibility or equivalent practical experience is crucial. Your educational background will shape your expertise and pave the way for innovation.
Experience: Your journey should reflect proven experience in successfully implementing Systems Engineering principles within organizations. Experience in heavy mobile machinery, product development, and project management underscores your ability to lead and innovate. Experience in heavy mobile machinery, product development, and project management is qualifying. You also have proven experience in implementing Systems Engineering or alike, such as Integrated Product Development, within an organization.

Arbetsuppgifter
Du kommer framför allt att arbeta med olika stödsystem, testsystem och processloggning i produktion. Vi vill skapa de bästa förutsättningarna för våra produktionsmedarbetare och har stora ambitioner om att digitalisera och byta ut befintliga system mot en modern övergripande plattform (MES) för att få ett tydligt gränssnitt för användarna. Denna plattform ska integreras mot befintliga produktionsutrustningar och våra nya ERP och PLM-system.

I rollen kommer du att driva arbetet med att kravställa, sätta upp och utveckla system tillsammans med våra leverantörer för att skapa bästa förutsättningar för att driva en modern, effektiv och kvalitetssäkrad produktion. Då vi kommer att ha ständiga förändringar i produktion under de kommande åren så kommer fortsatt utveckling och support vara en del av arbetet. I uppgifterna ingår även att föra kunskap vidare i organisationen genom support och utbildning av kollegor.

Utöver arbete med stödsystem så kommer du som en del av den produktionstekniska avdelningen även att delta i det dagliga produktionstekniska arbetet.

Din bakgrund och kvalifikationer
Du har en relevant utbildning på högskolenivå och/eller erfarenhet från liknande arbetsuppgifter.

Vi ser att du har erfarenhet från produktionsnära IT-lösningar och system. Du har tidigare arbetat som It-tekniker med ett intresse för produktion alternativt som produktionstekniker med stort intresse inom IT och produktionsnära IT-system. Du har kunskaper inom nätverksteknik, IT-säkerhet, databashantering, programmering och systemintegration.

Kunskaper inom el/elektronik, PLC och robotprogrammering är meriterande.

Main tasks and responsibilities
As the Concept Lead Engineer, your role involves several pivotal tasks. You'll need to stay updated on pertinent industry and technology trends, analyzing emerging developments to keep our CB products cutting-edge. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll define and present concept initiatives that align with the Product Roadmap, central R&D initiatives, and business strategies. You'll take the lead in executing concept development initiatives according to the predefined Technology Roadmap timeline. Additionally, you'll evaluate concept outcomes and provide valuable insights for integrating these outcomes into New Product Development projects and future developments.
